Malavath Poorna, 13-Years-Old Indian Girl Becomes Youngest Female To Climb Mount Everest

Malavath Poorna, a 13-year-old Indian girl who's parent are poor farmers has successfully completed the mission of climbing the Mount Everest, which makes her the youngest female human to do so.

The Indian girl said she met with a Nepalese climbing team on the 25th of May in Tibet, who agreed to guide her through the adventure.

However, speaking to the media on Wednesday in New Delhi, the young girl said it wasn't such an easy task as she battled with extreme cold, dead bodies, fear and difficult climbing conditions as she was climbing up the world's tallest mountain.

According to her, "tears of joy" flowed uncontrollably when she made it to the top of the mountain and saw "mighty mountains and morning sunlight" all around her. See photos after the cut..

Mount everest is the tallest mountain in the world. It is about 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level and is the fifth furthest point from the center of the Earth. It is recorded that about 4,000 people have tried to climb the mountain but only 660 have accomplished the mission while 142 died on the process.

The mountain is approximately 60 million years years old. See more photos after the cut.
