Borno State has been under severe attack from the dreaded Boko Haram sect in the last few months. This time, our reports tells us that no fewer than three hundred people have been confirmed dead in their latest attack.
The terrorists attacked four different villages - Ngoshe, Attagara, Aganjara and Agapalawa all in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, who has just lost their Emir to the same terrorist group in a recent kidnap and the reports reaching us says that three out of the four attacked villages have been deserted. As in, wiped out!
According to our reliable sources, the gunmen who dressed in military uniforms were armed with Kalashnikov assault weapons and rocket-propelled grenades. They stormed in with motorbikes and vehicles and they reportedly destroyed the telecommunications mast in the area.
Our reports also tells us that the terrorist group deceived the villagers by telling them they were military personnel sent to protect them but only to suddenly open fire randomly at the villagers. Even the ones who tried escaping into the bush were gunned down mercilessly.
Hon. Peter Bive, the House of Reps member for Gwoza LGA had this to say about the attack;

“There were deadly attacks on these villages by Boko Haram insurgents who killed a large number of people and destroyed homes. We are still trying to compile a toll of the dead as people on the ground are still counting the number of casualties.Boko Haram have hoisted their flags in at least seven villages in the area which they now claim to be under their control.”
