According to The Sun, Sergeant Adamu Baruwa has been sentenced to death by hanging after he was found guilty by the Osun State High Court for the murder of one Mr. Kehinde Awoyedo who was shot dead in Ilesa.
The incident which happened in August 20, 2008 has it that Adamu shot Kehinde with an AK-47 gun.
After his arrest on May 11, 2012 Mr. Adamu Baruwa pleaded not guilty which compelled the prosecution team led by Mr Moses Faremi to bring five witnesses who tendered some exhibits which was enough to nail Mr Baruwa.
The presiding judge, Justice Abdul-Razak Abdulkareem, said he found Baruwa guilty after the prosecutors had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt. Justice Abdulkareem said the convict was sentenced to death by hanging based on the evidence before him to serve as deterrent to other trigger happy people like him.
